It’s that time of year again, the season when the desire to spend time with loved ones and friends takes us to the roads, traveling to get back home or elsewhere to enjoy the holidays. One thing you can count on year to year is the presence of Georgia’s traffic enforcement officers along the way, whether lying in wait for those drivers in a hurry to get somewhere, or actively out waiting/watching for those drivers that violate other moving traffic violations such as failure to stop completely at a stop sign, running a red light, improper lane change and a plethora of other violations.
We could advise that you watch your speedometer to be absolutely certain you aren’t speeding, or stop COMPLETELY at every stop sign or red light, but we know that if you forget for one moment and slip up the Georgia Traffic Enforcement Officers may be there to catch you because this time of year there are so many of them out and about!
Certain counties and cities in Georgia are more notorious than others when it comes to getting stopped for speeding and receiving a ticket. The link below is from the AJC’s “GA Speed Traps” article from a few years ago but not much has changed, these areas in Georgia remain some of the most aggressive in the state in terms of speeding tickets.
