I was getting off of 85 North onto a road that allows drivers to make a right turn. I stopped at the light waiting to see around the corner for any oncoming traffic, not seeing any approaching cars or lights I decided to make the turn. While doing so, I see a car speed up on the straight road while I was making the turn, immediately doing so I go into the adjacent lane, noticing it was a police vehicle too late. After driving for a minute he pulls me over and tells me the speed at which he was going and that there could have been an accident and writes me a citation for “failure to obey a traffic light”. Is there any way I can get the points dismissed? It is my first offense.
Hello David, feel free to call me for a free consultation to go over the ticket, my direct line is 404-315-9936. Thank you. Dee, Fortas Law Group
I also had a similar experience this morning. I was getting off of exit 11 in Alpharetta onto a road that allows drivers to make a left or right turn. There was traffic light at the intersection and when the light turned green I stated moving with about 4 to 5 cars in front of me. All of a sudden the cars in front me stop leaving me the rear of car at the intersection. The police man that was standing at the intersection asked me to pull over. I asked him what is my offence and he said obstruction of Intersection and he then proceed to give me a ticket. I would like to find out if this will go on my record or not.

Good Morning,
I have court this afternoon for a speeding ticket 67 mph in a 45 mph construction zone. What should I say to get these points removed from my license?
My husband has his CDL’s and just received a citation for 40-6-49 (following too closely) from a DOT officer. The officer informed him that he was following too closely by 1.4 seconds. Should he go to court and fight this ticket?
Hello i was involved in a traffic accident 15 years ago. I recieved a violation for failure to obey a traffic control device. Wreckless driving and 2 counts of serious injury by vehicle. During my plea hearing the judge asked why the prosecution decided to move forward with a plea. The prosecutor stated that he believed that” running a red light alone may not be enough to convict on wreckless driving.”
My question is if the prosecutor was correct and the only evidence presented of wreckless driving was infact running 1 traffic light, or disobeying a traffic control device, being that it is a uniform traffic violation and doesnt require prior knoledge of the presence of the device in question, but wreckless driving does require the fore knoledge of 1 or more traffic control devices and a reasonable belief that the operator of the vehicle knowingly disreguarded said device or devices. Then a uniform traffic violation by its self provides no assumption of wrecklessness therfore no basis for wrecklessness and alone cannot determine ,for multiple reasons, weither or not a person was infact wreckless and additional evidence must be provided to establish a basis for wrecklessness. Otherwise without additional evidence one would have to ASSUME Guilt of wrecklessness as a basis for an accusation. Wich is in violation of presumption of innocence . Wich means no one has yet established grounds for wreckless driving , or provided evidence that a crime was committed, before filing a charge or accusation. Wich is a violation of due process and leaves the charge or accuzation baseless and unlawful. And by sheer duty of the court, in order to maintain credibility, must dismiss such unlawful charge or accusations and any subsequent charges or accusation that require wreckless driving as a requirement before filing?
Am i wrong? Should i persue this further. Thank you

Georgia St. Patrol ticketed me for Improper lane change and HOV violation. This happened in Atlanta. He wrote it happened in Marietta on the ticket. The offense occurred in Fulton Co. The Court date is in Cobb Co. Should I contest ? My home is in Acworth.
I was involved in a car accident while turning left. I was patiently waiting in the intersection for oncoming traffic to clear. The light was a solid amber on both sides before I turned my steering wheel. I got T-boned by an oncoming vehicle, who obviously went through a red light because the body of my vehicle was struck right in the middle, resulting in my SUV flipping and spinning and a total loss of my car. I was issued the failure to yield citation. I have court on April 15th. I do not want any points on my license. Do I have a valid case?
I got a citation for an improper left turn and a warning for not changing my address for driver’s license and my tag. (all printed out on the same sheet of long receipt paper.) I waited the 5 business days to go online to check and see what I would have to pay and I see that see I have a court date (Aug. 15th) along with this message. “This citation cannot be paid online, indicating you must appear on your court date”. I called to find out why and the person I spoke with said they have the same message on their computer screen and she didn’t know either. She then gives me a number to call to speak to someone who would know. I talk to this person and she didn’t know why either I couldn’t pay online for an improper left turn. She said maybe they didn’t know how much to charge you so they haven’t put it in yet. ( Because at this point I am wondering just how much will I have to pay.) She tries something ( I’m guessing putting in the citation amount.) and tells me to try and sign in again, which I did, and was met with the same message. After some back and forth of getting the same results, she finally tells me that she can tell me the price ($116.25) and I don’t have to come in to pay. I can have someone else pay and or come in to pay just as long as I provide my case number and it’s not with a personal check. I kinda sensed the way she kept stressing I don’t have to come in to have someone else pay that maybe that’s what I should do. The only reason I can think of that I would have to appear in court is to see if I did the address change on license and tag (which I haven’t). My question is should I go to court ( I would just rather pay and be done with it.) or is it mandatory like the message said when I tried to pay online, or should I listen to the advice the last person I talked to gave, especially now that I know how much I have to pay;
I received a “failure to secure load” on my tractor trailer flatbed. I had a strap tear but nothing hit the ground so how is that a failure to secure a load? but never mind about that!
It’s on my MVR. It’s not a moving violation so therefor, it shouldn’t be on my MVR…..Right?
Hi,
I got a 40-6-72: Failure to Stop for Stop sign
The office said that I did not stop completely at the stop sign. Officer said he observed(he was not following me/Don’t know where he is) me in that street where it has 3 stop signs. He said that I stopped at first and third stop sign completely, but at second stop sign I did not stopped completely.
It was steep and slippery at that time. I got a letter ‘Official Notice of Court Date Rescheduling’ with new court date.
This is my very first violation in my 15yrs of driving. Every day I drive approximately 90 to 100 miles. Do I need to hire a attorney or can I appear personally? Will I get 3 points in my driving record? How can I avoid getting those points? of what should I do. Please let me know.

I received citation for crossing median, where OBVIOUSLY it had been done hundreds of times. But..I did it not knowing it was illegal and officer was sitting in store parking lot where I was leaving obviously a trap. But I have never had anything against my license and to read this possibly fine is super stressful. He admitted to having written multiple citations for SAME violation by multiple other drivers on same day in same location. I’m so afraid. At 55 years old I’ve never been in trouble before.
